Dee Michaels, a journalist and aspiring writer, reluctantly partners with Constable Trent Jacobs in Harbourside, a city on the west coast of Canada, to solve local crimes. While professionally they have their issues, personally they’re a good team.

Book 1—Cull—a serial killer is operating in Harbourside. Together Dee and Trent race to prevent more deaths.

Book 2—Water of Life—Dee attends the annual Harbourside Whisky Festival where a presenter dies under mysterious circumstances.

Book 4—A Dire Dram—Dee investigates the local drug cartel in an effort to halt the flow of illegal toxic drugs onto the streets of Harbourside.
